Recently, we started a walking challenge inside GLOW10 this week, and here’s how my first walk went:

I stepped outside… and it started pouring.

By the time I got home, my shoes were squelching with water.

If it weren’t for the challenge, I’d have 100% turned around and gone straight back to my warm, dry house.
But I didn’t. I kept walking.

Because I’d already decided I was going to walk. Rain, hail or shine.
(We set our own goal in the challenge, and that was literally the goal I set for myself.)

And that one decision – made ahead of time – made it so much easier to follow through.

The more women I work with, the more I know this to be true:
You don’t need to overhaul your life to build a movement habit.

But you do need to make it easier to show up.

Once you’ve committed, the question isn’t if you’ll move – it’s how you’ll make it work.

And that “how” gets easier when movement is visible, accessible, and a little less serious.

Here are a few of my favourite ways to create momentum:

✔️ Save your favourite podcast for walks (mine’s usually a biz podcast, or something fun like Smartless or A Good Hang)
✔️ Lay out your clothes the night before
✔️ Watch your show while doing your mobility exercises
✔️ Keep a set of weights where you can see them (I have a set that live in the lounge)
✔️ Habit stack with something you already do (eg. brushing your teeth + calf raises)

The most common thread I see in women who move regularly is that they’re movement seekers. They’ve trained themselves to notice opportunities to move more. It’s not forced. It’s not perfect. It’s just part of how they show up.

And if that’s not you yet, it can be.
In fact, you might already be more of a movement seeker than you realise.
Sometimes, just noticing how you’re already moving is enough to shift the dial.

And if you are wanting to move more, just know this: It won’t come from motivation. It comes from lowering the barrier to entry.

🎧 I’ve just dropped a short (under 10 min) podcast episode that’ll help you do exactly that:
[Ep 6: Not exercising consistently right now? Focus on this first]

Listen on Spotify
Listen on Apple Podcasts

It’s for anyone who wants to move more, without making it a whole “thing.”

We’re allowed to make it easier.
We’re allowed to make it enjoyable.
And yes, we are allowed to walk in the rain.
