FAQ

Should I make a physio appointment or a massage appointment?
Physio and massage are both beneficial stand-along therapies, however they also complement each other well. If you have an acute injury/pain, a very specific complaint or a very complex condition, we recommend you start with a physiotherapy appointment so that we can thoroughly assess and diagnose you before developing a plan for treatment.
If you have more generalised discomfort/tightness, are feeling stressed or are looking for a maintenance treatment session to complement your physiotherapy treatment, massage is a fantastic option.
Do I Need a Doctors Referral?

No, you do not need a doctor’s referral to see a physiotherapist, unless you are seeking treatment under workers compensation, third party insurance (i.e car accident), or under Medicare’s Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) program. Either way, if your doctor has referred you for treatment, please bring with you any relevant test results and we will ensure your doctor receives regular updates on your treatment with us.

What Do I Need To Provide for Mobile Treatments?

Nothing! We bring everything with us – a state of the art portable massage table, a choice of cream or oil and towels. We just need a small space to set up (about 2m x 2m) and we will take care of the rest!

Do I Need to Provide Parking for Mobile Treatments?

We bring all of our equipment with us for your convenience, so we will require parking within a reasonable distance from your home (i.e. <50m). We can discuss details prior to your first consultation.

What Should I Wear?

Generally comfortable clothing you can move easily in, however it depends on what we are treating. The benefit of us treating you in your home is that you can always change if necessary!

How Long Will My Appointment Take?
We will need 5-10 minutes before and after your appointment to set up/pack up. This is in addition to your allocated appointment time.
  • Initial physio – 60mins
  • Follow up physio – 45mins
  • Massage – 60mins
  • Pilates – 45mins
How Do I Pay for My Appointment?

Payment is taken on the day of treatment. We accept cash, eftpos, mastercard and visa (credit and debit). We also carry a HICAPS machine to assist with processing of your private health rebate.

How Do I Claim Through My Health Fund?

Rebates will apply to all sessions if you have private health extras cover. We carry a mobile Hicaps machine with us to help you claim your private health rebate on the spot. Some health funds will require us to plug the machine into your analogue phone line (just a free phone call). If you are unable to claim your private health rebate on the spot, we will provide you with a receipt and you can claim your rebate by post, in person or online (many funds have smartphone apps now to make claiming easier!).

Will I Be Charged for a Cancellation?

We understand that life can be unpredictable, so if reasonable notice is provided (>12 hours), a fee will not be charged.

For cancellations <12 hours, cancellation fees do apply due to the increased time we allocate to each booking to allow for our extended sessions and travel:

  • Cancellations with <12 hours notice 20% fee
  • Cancellations with <6 hours notice 50% fee
  • Appointments with <1 hour notice 100% fee
Can I Purchase Equipment from You?

Yes, we travel with a small supply of stock for sale (pillows, foam rollers, massage balls, tape etc) but we can also fit and order any other equipment you require.
