A loss of mobility and function can really sneak up on you!

If you (or someone you love) is over 60, I’ve got a little test for you…

Can you:

  1. Sit-to-stand without using your hands?
    🌟bonus points if it’s a low chair
🌟🌟bonus bonus points if you can do it multiple times
  2. Get up and down from the ground, without using furniture?
🌟bonus points if you can do it more than one way
  3. Stand on one leg, or tandem stance with head turns for 10 seconds?
🌟bonus points if you can do it with your eyes closed!

These movements might not see like a big deal, but they are a gateway to functional mobility, enhanced confidence, and maintaining your independence.

If any of these things are a challenge for you, don’t worry! You can build your capacity to make these things easier through improving mobility & building strength.

Squats to build your sit to stand might sound hard. But do you know what’s harder? Watching every chair you sit in for fear you won’t be able to get out OR asking someone else to pull you out of a chair for the rest of your life!

These movements might not see like a big deal, but they are a gateway to functional mobility, enhanced confidence, and maintaining your independence.

🌟 When was the last time you challenged yourself in these areas? Let me know!
