💁♀️Don’t get me wrong, I’ve seen my fair share of women who have injured their backs doing deadlifts, or kettlebell swings or something similar in a gym.
Buuuuutt, it’s often because they haven’t learned how to do one well before adding LOAD or SPEED 🤔
Do you know what I see way more of?
👉🏼Women who have hurt their backs bending over to pick up a toy from the ground
👉🏼Women who are scared to bend forward for fear of injury
👉🏼Women whose backs ache because they spend all day with their pelvis tucked under to help ‘their core work’
When we learn how to move our bodies in ALL the ways and get comfortable moving MORE load than our day to day activities entail, we move better, cope better and feel better 💙
Don’t skip the deadlifts. Just learn how to do them properly, start simple and build gradually 💪
