I just wrapped up a free 5-day challenge with over 1000 women – the Learn to Lift at Home Challenge – and I have to share what happened.
Because honestly, it reminded me why I do this work.
These women came in with a very specific fear. Not of hard work. Not of commitment. Of picking up a weight and having no idea if what they were doing was safe, effective, or going to make things worse.
One woman described it perfectly before we started:
“I feel like there is a secret club for people who do weights and I have no idea how to get in.”
By the end of the week this is what was coming through:
- “Slowing down moved the focus from my knees to my quads and glutes. I realised I was not switching on the right muscles before.” — Jocelyn
- “I feel stronger already just with challenging myself with confidence that I won’t break me.” — Diane
- “I went from 5kg dumbbells on Day 1 to 7kg on Day 2.” — Joy
- “I made a comment at work – when I was working out this morning – and the whole room looked at me surprised. I ignored their look and continued as if it’s a normal part of my life.” — Monique
That last one. That is the whole point.
Not the weights. Not the workouts. The moment a woman stops seeing herself as someone who does not do this – and just does it.
This is what happens when women get the right guidance. Physio-designed, properly taught, with someone in their corner when things feel uncertain.
That is what GLOW10 Tribe is. My 10 minute a day strength training membership for women training at home, designed by a physio who has spent over 20 years working with exactly these women.
A new program block starts May 4. If strength training has been sitting on your list, this is a genuinely good moment to start.
