Guess what I did?
I blindsided myself with my own exercise personality quiz.
Yep, the one I designed, wrote, and built the logic and scoring for.
If you’d asked me to pick my type? I would’ve put money on “All-or-Nothing Achiever.”
I’m either going hard…
Or feeling bad that I’m not.
But here’s what I realised (only after taking my own quiz 🙈):
That version of me is kinda old news.
Before kids, I was the girl who ran, swam, cycled, hit the gym, played netball- you name it.
I loved the sweat. I loved the intensity. I loved the big workouts.
These days I move quite a lot. I love walking. I strength train most days.
And I occasionally throw in a very short burst of cardio just to check my heart’s still got it 😅 (so far, so good).
I’ve realised my exercise personality has changed.
It had to.
And it’s the same for so many women I see.
They’re still holding themselves to the standard of what they used to do.
What used to work.
What used to fit in a completely different season of life.
And when that doesn’t feel the same anymore – when their old tricks stop working- they assume they’re the problem.
That they’ve failed.
That they just need more discipline.
When in reality?
They’ve changed… and they haven’t realised it yet. (Just like me 🙋🏼♀️)
That’s why when I’m working with women, whether it’s in the clinic, inside GLOW10 or in my coaching programs, I want to know pretty early on:
Which of the six exercise personality types are they?
Because here’s the truth:
The tools I’ll use to help them are completely different.
And the tools are what unlock consistency.
So we always start with:
→ Know thyself (without judging thyself, wayyyy easier said than done!)
Then we build the systems to support you – as you are now, not five or ten years ago.
✨ For the Overwhelmed Juggler, this might mean cue-based scheduling & micro-workout stacking
✨ For the Connection Seeker, it’s getting creative with accountability and developing a fallback plan for when community isn’t there
✨ For the Cautious Mover, it’s about defining a safe-start protocol & creating their own confidence-boosting feedback loop
Way too many women start with what they’re going to do – Pilates, strength, an 8-week challenge – without asking:
How can I make sure I actually do it?
Because at the end of the day, my mission is to make exercise feel less like main character energy…
and more like a solid supporting cast member – quietly doing its job in the background and making everything better, without demanding the spotlight.
If you’re curious about your type, I’ve put together a quick 2-minute quiz:
