You know how you don’t realise what your kids are picking up from you until you hear them role-playing with their toys or talking to their siblings… and they repeat something you said?
In our house lately, it’s: “We’ll cross that bridge when we come to it.” One of my favourite sayings—and I have to say I’m secretly stoked that they’re repeating it (even if there’s still a lot of trying to cross bridges before we come to them happening 😅)
Well, the same thing happens in clinic sometimes.
I don’t always know what’s going to land with someone until they say it back to me—sometimes months later.
This week, a client mentioned one of her favourite things about our sessions was that I like to pick exercises that give her ‘bang for buck.’
This made me giggle, because yep—I say that all the time. But hearing her say it reminded me just how true it is.
In fact, it’s at the heart of everything I teach.
I work with busy women. Women with jobs, families, school pickups, dinner to cook—and a lot of tabs open.
So if I’m asking you to carve out 10 minutes for strength training—or even just 5 minutes for your physio exercises—it better be worth it.
To me, that means movement that:
✔️ Gives you an instant result—less pain, better mood, or more confidence
✔️ Builds strength where it actually matters (for your life)
✔️ Boosts your energy, rather than drains it
✔️ Moves you towards your long-term goals
✔️ Is achievable, repeatable, and can grow with you
No fluff. No filler. Just real movement, real intention, real results.
If your current exercise routine is leaving you sore, exhausted, or wondering if it’s even working… it might not be giving you good bang for buck.
And yes—you can absolutely get stronger, fitter, and more energised with short, targeted training.
You can also improve your pain, stiffness and other symptoms with a few tweaks here and a few incidental exercises there.
You just have to choose quality over quantity.
So let me ask:
👉 Is your current routine giving you bang for buck?
👉 Or are you spending time and energy on something that’s not really working?
Tell me where you’re at. I’d love to hear.
