I wish someone had told me this sooner.

Because you really don’t need to push through exhaustion or give up completely.
There’s a middle ground.
And it’s where consistency actually lives.

So friend to friend, here are 5 smarter ways to train when you’re tired, instead of skipping the day, eating and watching crap, and promising yourself you’ll do better tomorrow when you have more energy:

1️⃣ Shrink it.
Cut your plan in half. One block, one round, one walk.
Consistency beats intensity every time.

2️⃣ The 2-Minute Rule.
Start moving for two minutes.
If your energy hasn’t lifted by then, ditch it, guilt-free.
You’ve already followed through.

3️⃣ Modify, don’t quit.
Same pattern, softer pace.
Slow the tempo, lighten the weight, or go seated, the habit still counts.

4️⃣ Change the goal.
Today isn’t about getting stronger; it’s about feeling better.
Focus on how you want to leave the session – clearer, calmer or more energised – not how hard you worked.

5️⃣ Bookend with calm.
Start and end with deep breaths or a stretch you love.
It resets your body and your mind.

There are much smarter (and kinder) ways to stay consistent, promise.
