We can get so caught up in the details that we forget about the basics:
😴 Getting 7-9 hours of quality sleep a night
🥩 Aim to get 25-30g / protein into each meal
💪🏻Strength training, nothing fancy, just work each major muscle group hard enough 2x/week (my GLOW10 tribe get it done int 10mins/day)
🚶♀️Up your steps
🧘♀️Managing your stress by making sure you’re completing the stress cycle as needed + building in regular practices that nurture your nervous system
🧠 A mindset shift – consistency over perfection, self compassion over self flagellation, Something over all or nothing.
These are the basics, but I’m certianly not saying it’s BASIC to nail all of them at once (I generally sit at about 66% most of the time 😉)
But if you are over 40, and you’re NOT feeling great in yoru body right now, chances are 1+ of these areas needs your attention. It might be a lot of one, or a little of a few.
So which one do you focus on first? ➡ either the lowest hanging fruit (i.e the one you can make the biggest improvement in with the least amount of effort) OR the one that is likely to have the biggest ripple effect (hint: it’s probably sleep)
