No, multitasking doesn’t work for your workouts.
One of the most common mistakes I see women make is trying to combine everything into one workout. Doing weights super fast to “sneak in” cardio? Or pushing your slow steady walk into a power walk because “faster is better”?
Mixing styles often lands you in the dreaded moderate intensity gray zone. It’s like multitasking- you think you’re being efficient, but instead, you’re getting the worst of both worlds.
For women (especially over 40 🙋🏼♀️) spending too much time in this zone can make it harder to see the results you want.
Here’s the fix:
👉 Know what you’re trying to achieve with your workout.
👉 Stick to the right intensity and duration for that goal.
Whether it’s low-intensity steady state or true high-intensity intervals, make sure your exercise aligns with your goals, not some “faster is better” myth.
