- A gateway flow before I train.
Three stretches I don’t have to think about. They tell my body, mind and nervous system it’s time.
(Mine is cat cow, thread the needle and worlds greatest stretch) - Just putting my shoes on.
Not thinking about the walk or all the reasons not to go. Just shoes on, out the door. - Saving my favourite podcast for training time only.
Classic temptation bundling. The more enjoyable I make the workout, the more likely I actually show up for it. - Taking a conscious moment at the end of a session to notice how I feel.
Mind and body. That feeling gets linked to the workout, which is exactly what makes it easier to show up next time. - Training around the same time every day.
Home training is tempting to keep loose and unstructured. Anchoring it to something fixed (after the kids get on the bus for me) means there’s no decision left to make. - Working out in whatever I’m already wearing.
Sometimes pyjamas. Sometimes work clothes. One less obstacle in the way. - 10-20 minutes a day.
The truth is, I’ve never been this consistent or felt this good in my body, since I traded the long, hard, 2-3x /week gym sessions for daily GLOW10s
What are your ridiculous habits that actually work?
