Being out of routine is part of life – not a failure.

Here’s how I handle it:

➡️ If it’s temporary (a weekend away, a busy few days):
I ask “What CAN I still do?”

If I ‘can’t’ hit 30g of protein because a big almond croissant is calling my name?
→ I might add some yoghurt on the side and get some protein in.

If my strength training isn’t going to fit into my day somehow, I might
→ Go for a long walk.
→ Or run through a memorised bodyweight superset when I get up – just to give my body some love.

➡️ If it’s more sustained (travel, illness, a hectic season):
I go back to the drawing board.

I ask:
✨ What matters most right now?
✨ How can I get something instead of nothing?
✨ What systems need to be in place so it actually happens (and I don’t forget or get distracted)?

And above all – I don’t beat myself up.

Because if there’s one thing we know for sure, it’s this:

You can’t shame yourself into a strong, confident, positive relationship with your body.1 w
