This week, my husband started a new morning routine.
He wants to move his body first thing, even if it’s just a stretch.
On day one he told me he woke up with all the thoughts.
- “It’s cold and dark.”
- “I’m tired, I need my sleep.”
- “I’ll just start tomorrow.”
But then, he said those thoughts were overpowered by another one. “Just get up and do it.”
So he dropped to the floor and did push-ups.
That’s it. No magic. No fancy routine.
Just a decision.
The voice telling him to start was louder than the excuses.
It doesn’t mean the excuses disappear.
It just means you choose who gets the microphone.
So if you’ve been waiting to feel more motivated or hoping that one day it’ll feel easier:
What if you just turned the volume down… and did it anyway?
