I’ve just finished a coaching call with my >60s ‘Strong & Balanced’ Group, and we had a good chat about our ‘good girl’ syndrome.
You know the ‘good girl’ in you who wants to do a good job and tick off all of her homework?
I see this in women, of all ages, all of the time.
But the thing is – progress doesn’t come from perfect.
- Being perfect with your exercise is not the goal. And it’s not the only way to get results.
- Results done come from never getting off track -> they come from getting back on track. Fast.
- Falling off the wagon is inevitable. Life happens.
- But getting back on is a skill. And you can’t develop a skill without practice.
- Aiming for nothing less than perfect robs you of the opportunity to develop this skill.
So instead of focusing on that ‘perfect’ week, focus on getting better and faster at getting back on track 💪
