I know it’s been a rough week for a lot of people. The Cyclone & flooding left many of you without power, routine and your sanity…
If that’s you, and you’re still in the thick of it, I just want to say- I’m sorry you’re going through this. No one needs a pep talk about “getting back on track” when you’re just trying to keep the fridge cold.
And you probably also don’t need to hear about the holiday my family and I just had, which saw us miss the entire thing as my Mum, Sister + fam watched over our place
But you might like to hear about the vision my family and I set while we were away..?
This was our first proper holiday alone (more than a weekend camping) in nearly two years.
Whenever we go away, we seem to have big family discussions. It just happens. Maybe it’s the space, maybe it’s the lack of good WiFi. Either way, we always come back with a vision.
This time was a big one. We’ve decided that 2025 is going to be…
️ The O’Sully’s Year of Health ️
Not in a “let’s all start green juicing” way, but in a “let’s build some small healthy habits together” kind of way.
We’re kicking it off this month by doing a daily, early morning walk up our (very steep) hill. It wasn’t easy getting them out of bed for day 1 today, but I’m hoping it will get easier!!
Next month, we’re focusing on rainbow veggies
The idea is to build consistency, family bonding, and a little health literacy—without making it a chore. And yes, of course I’m bribing them with a massive family fun day at the end to keep morale high 🙂
Would a Family year of Health work for your family? What would you focus on? (I’m looking for ideas because I can’t think past May!)
