When someone tells me,
“I’m thinking of buying a treadmill,”
or
“I’d love to get my own Pilates reformer for home…”
a little alarm bell goes off in my head.

Not because I’m against having nice equipment – I’m not!

A home reformer? What a dream…feet in straps all day long 😍
The right gear in the right environment can definitely help.

But what worries me is when someone’s hoping the equipment will solve a motivation problem.

Because the truth is, it usually won’t.

Here’s what I’ve learned after working with over a thousand women:

You don’t need more stuff.
You need more consistency.
And that starts before the treadmill arrives.
(It also starts before motivation)

Honestly, I absolutely love it when I meet a new client and they say something like:
“Oh I’m only walking in the mornings.”
As if it’s not a big deal.

To me, that’s gold.
Because if you’re already doing something – even something small – and doing it consistently…
You’ve got a head start.

By the time women come to me, they often have a few things on their mind:
→ A niggly pain they’ve been putting up with
→ A building sense of stiffness or weakness
→ A growing awareness they should be doing strength work… but don’t know where to start

And I know this:
If someone’s already in the rhythm of a morning walk, a Pilates class, or a 10-minute stretch before bed – they’re far more likely to succeed with the next step.

Because the truth is:
Consistency is always the first domino.

Which is why, if you’re not already consistent with anything, that’s your only job right now.

👉 Start with 10 minutes of mobility while the kettle boils [Try this 8min mobility flow]
👉 A short walk around the block after dinner
👉 A bodyweight strength set while the kids are having brekky

Get consistent first.
Then you can add intensity, variety, equipment, new programs – whatever’s next.

This is also why movement seeking is the first pillar of my She GLOWS framework and the first step I focus on when coaching women towards their best exercise rhythm.

It’s not about going hard straight out of the gate.
It’s about noticing what feels good, repeatable, and rooted in your reality.
That’s where real results come from.

So I’ll leave you with this:
➡️ Where are you already showing signs of consistency?
➡️ Or if you’re not… where could you start?

Hit reply and tell me. Just naming it is a powerful step.
